| At Above and Beyond, we believe in age-appropriate learning based on the philosophy of a structured learning environment with the ability for creative expression. Before a child can create, he must learn basic skills, such as holding a crayon, using scissors, and following directions. Creative expression should be encouraged in all children regardless of ability. Each child should feel that he is an important, respected individual. Creativity takes place in the block area; your daughter or son may be a contractor some day! In the dramatic play center, children become mommies and daddies, dentists, zookeepers, clowns, and whatever the child's imagination transforms him/her into! Above and Beyond Child Care Center utilizes the Creative Curriculum Educational Approach. The fundamental premise is that children are active learners, who learn best from pursuing their own interests while being active. We utilize developmentally appropriate educational programs to help prepare your child for the challenges of each age level. . Toddlers are provided with opportunities to think through their actions, solve problems and understand language. They are provided with new experiences. We provide them with a safe, nurturing environment that allows each child to develop naturally, individually and happily. Daily progress reports give you information on care routines of your toddler. We encourage preschoolers to learn through play. Our environment enables your child to make friends and share the fun of learning with other children. We prepare preschoolers for kindergarten. Our tutoring program focuses on assisting our children in passing their proficiencies and excelling in school. We are an affiliate of CEOCG for children who are 3-5 years old. It is a half day program, which prepares preschool children for kindergarten. |
